We all use Google extensively, whether for educational purposes, to learn something new or for entertainment, in past few years we have created a tight attachment with Google search, there is no doubt in that. Whenever we need anything, Google Search is always there to help us. In order to surf internet, we must use a web browser. There are many web browsers available out there, like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari and so on. From this list, most commonly and widely used web browser is Google Chrome browser. What is Google Chrome and why to use it?
Google Chrome is a cross-platform, free internet browser developed by Google. Its features include surfing web securely by synchronization with Google services and accounts, incognito mode, integrated address bar/search bar.
Google Chrome is very fast, simple and secure browser according to Google and it is build by Google considering the requirement of modern web. Major feature of Google Chrome is that u can synchronize with your laptop/desktop and Android Smartphone using Google Chrome and signing up both devices with Gmail. If you have synchronized both devices with same Gmail account then you can very easily copy text on laptop/desktop and paste it on your smartphone or vice-versa.
Top 3 shortcuts
1) Reopen accidentally closed tab
Google Chrome allows you to open multiple "TABs" simultaneously for you to conveniently multitask within the browser application. So, suppose if you have opened multiple TABs on Chrome application and you are surfing different data on them as shown in image below.
Here you can see, I have 3 tabs open (1,2 and 3 as marked in image above) for demonstration of this feature. While surfing through it, suppose mistakenly you happen to close 1 of the tabs, then you think that you wanted that tab back open again then you don't need to worry, just press Ctrl + Shift + t and you will see the tab opened again which you had accidentally closed.
2) Bookmark all TABs together
Suppose you have multiple TABs open on Google Chrome browser and all tabs are having very important data opened and you need all that data for your future reference, in this case you just need to press Ctrl + Shift + d. You will see a pop-up appeared on your screen as shown in image below.
Just enter the name which you want to give and click on Save, you will have all the open Tabs bookmarked in just 1 click.
3) Quick switch between multiple tabs
Suppose you have multiple tabs open on your Google Chrome browser and you want to switch between tabs, then you have to put your hand off from keyboard and hold onto mouse/touchpad and move cursor on the tab you want to open and click it, this seem to be long process and reduces productivity.
If you want more quicker way in switching between tabs then you can just press Ctrl + [number of that particular tab]. For example, see the image above, there are 3 tabs open in above tab and currently you have 1st tab open that is TipsAndTricksTechy page open, suppose if you want to switch to Twitter that is 3rd Tab then you just need to press Ctrl + 3 and you will land on twitter page. By using this shortcut you can quickly and very easily switch between tabs.
