1. Live Captions
We all watch videos on our smartphones but sometimes we are in such a place where we cannot make sound on and listen to audio but still we want to watch that video and know about it without hearing audio, during this time it is difficult to understand what they are talking about in video since we have muted audio so how can we know what they are talking in video without making sound on?
To solve this problem, we have to use feature called as Live Captions. Live Caption feature is available in most of all Android smartphones running Android 10 or above. You have to head towards Phone Settings -> Accessibility -> Caption preferences and turn it on (there can be different name used for Caption preferences for different manufacturers). After you have changed this settings you can start watching any video on your smartphone and you will get to read captions as they talk.
2. Sensors Off
Suppose we are about to enter into some very confidential meeting and we don't want any applications to access my location, microphone, camera or any other sensors. So, you just want to cut off all sensors from your smartphone device then how you can do it?
To solve this problem, you first need to enable developer options from your phone settings, after you have enabled developer options just head towards developer options -> Quick settings developer tiles -> Sensors Off and turn it off. Now you have turned off all smartphone sensors. In order to make it on follow same path, phone settings -> developer options -> Quick settings developer tiles -> Sensors Off and turn it on.
3. Permission Manager
You must be knowing that applications which we use on our smartphones takes permissions to use microphone, camera, location and so on. So, when they ask for these permissions, you grant them these permissions but it can happen that now you don't want that particular application to use your camera or any other sensor, so this means you must withdraw permission to use it. So how can you manage permissions for an application?
To solve this problem, Google has given a feature called Permission Manager which you will find in your phone settings. You just need to go to Phone Settings -> Privacy -> Permission Manager. There you will see all the different kind of permissions which applications need. Just go into anything which permission you want to change and there you can see different applications using it, just switch it off if you don't want that particular application to use it.
4. Nearby Share
These days we deal with too many files on our smartphones and sometimes we need to share those files to some other Android device too, in order to share files we use many different kind of apps like ShareIt. But is there a way to share files between Android devices without using any 3rd party application?
Yes, Google has provided all Android devices ( Android 7 and above ) with a feature called Nearby Share which we can use to transfer any files between Android devices. Just open Phone settings -> Google -> Device connections -> Nearby Share and turn it on. After you have enabled it, whenever you want to share any files, apps, pictures, videos, just need to click share and then select nearby share and share your data.
